I was just looking at the Logitech remote controls.
Wouldn't it be nice if somebody wrote an app to make my Android phone into a universal remote?
Could be a lot better than the Logitech stuff. All you would need is an IR interface that would fit into the USB and some code.....
Anybody at Google listening?

Anybody in the Android marketplace?
This is one of the few apps I would be willing to pay for :-)

ReplyDeleteits an app called bobby and it goes through your network to a device that emits ir.
i found no android version. makes me want to get a touch just for this app but i hate apples locked down greedy buisness model so much. how the hell do you patent multitouch? has the doouble click been patented?
also funai is making a sweet looking android tablet remote. im gonna hold out for that.

Looks sweet, but $300 for a remote is pretty high! Would be nice if they added something so that I could use the device as a phone (have a piece that goes into my phone jack and allow the device to talk to that piece over wifi (since I have free long distance calling from my home line....) and all my number in my Gmail address book....
